Title: 1969 SS stripes
Post by: mikecio1 on January 04, 2008, 03:35:44 AM
Can any one tell me what the standard "sport stripes" that came on the SS (350) package were.
hood/trunk, hockey or. around the nose?
And if you had a cowl induction hood did it matter?
thanks
Mike

For 69, it was the hockey stripe.  Cowl hood didnt make any difference.

69 SS got the hockey sticks, Z's got the Rally stripes on hood and trunk, any other Camaro could order the DX 1 stripe. Pin stripes were part of an optional trim package. Stripe color was determined by car color, and vinyl or convertable top color. All is documented in reports on this web site.

Just to clarify the wheel opening pin striping which was part of the Z21 (style trim) was not available on the Z28 or SS. The only exception being the pace car.

SS cars came with a SS hood not with a cowl unless ordered.  :)
