Title: Build date factory stamped on 1967 vin plate
Post by: 67conv6cyl on February 20, 2025, 08:01:52 PM
Why do a few cars have this factory stamped on vin plate?

That spot is for the delivery date. They knew this car was for internal usage, so the plant stamped the month/year delivery date on the tag.
I think I've seen a bulleting that mentions this.

What type of internal usage?

Internal usage = used by GM, not sold to a dealer.
