I’m getting ready to paint the console in my 69. (Black). Can I get some recommendations as to the correct paint and what brand? I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Rick

Consoles were molded in black plastic. Only the lid and ash tray cover were painted.
Green, blue and red consoles were painted to match.

I recently sold an original 68-69 console and the plastic was ivory, not molded in black.

I think William is stating "Black" interiors; have consoles Body upper and lower are Molded in Black Plastic & the Lid and Tray lid are painted Black.
Interiors 'other' than black have Ivory consoles color painted to match Interior color.

I know what William was saying. The consoles I sold were not repro and were ivory painted black. Over 30 years in storage. I paint for a living and they were not black painted over another color.

I've had one of those white consoles painted black - I did not see any evidence if it was an original or a service item or late production....
