At the end of the video Jay says “sorry we split the muffler”……
That’s where I come in.

Touching story but per the JM report the car Leno is driving was originally Glacier blue, black stripes with a blue standard interior.

60x is strong for a car the wrong colors but if it was his who cares. Nice looker

On a side note.. about a week ago or so, just down the road from me, Leno took a header when he fell down a hill near his hotel where he was doing a gig. Face was all bruised up. Poor fella. Hes ok tho.
-
Another side note - I noticed in this shot of the blown-out muffler - it has that part number stenciled on it just like the Z that sold for $300K at Barrett Jackson. From what I understand, all those markings are bs anyways....(I haven't seen anything on this website pertaining to this anomaly) - probably owned by the same guy who restored the $300K car.

I watched this Leno video because of him driving a '69 Z28 and wanted to see what it looked like. It is a nice story but the owner did not appear to know much technically about the car. When I heard the driving video, it was immediately clear there was something wrong with the exhaust! Seeing the blown muffler along the seam explains the noise...and very odd. And yes, I have never see a stenciled part number on an original exhaust system muffler or resonator.

Can you say where the report is? I'd like to read it.....thanks!
It would be interesting to see what JMN had to say about those stenciled part numbers on the muffler.

The stenciled number on the muffler was clearly added on and obvious when I removed it. There were other items on the car that were non original or reproductions. It’s a nice car and the owner loves it.

Can’t go wrong with Glacier Blue.
