Title: OEM style replacement 12 Bolt multi leaf spring perches
Post by: Badshifter on January 27, 2024, 08:32:46 PM: Do any of you have a recommendation or a source for a factory original looking spring perch for a multi leaf?

I was gifted a complete rear end that was abused in a race car 68 Camaro and had the original spring perches, half torn off.

Any good welding shop should be able to fix what you have.

Maybe wrong for later applications?

Some guy in reviews used them for a 12 bolt from a 70 Chevelle into a 70 Camaro.

"This made swapping a 12 bolt chevelle axle into my '70 camaro super easy. The leaf spring bushings I had wouldn't work you need the ones without the hump on the top."

From what I understand, the second GEN spring perches do not have the offset in them that the early ones deal, and just from looking at the photos of new old stock, the bolt holes look slightly different. I will order a set of reproductions from D&R and using the original as a sample see if I can tune the reproductions up to look more original. I have the fixture to true housings and all the associated work so that’s no problem. Thanks again.
