I have a 67 Camaro with a Tonawanda water pump. Was the heater hose nipple installed and painted orange or installed afterwards and left unpainted?

See the Assembly Manual 1967 UPC 1 A8 Page 31 Sheet 33 of the .pdf.
Piece #6 Nipple was installed by the Chev Vehicle plant and was likely NOT on the engine during Tonawanda engine paint evolutions.
"UN PAINTED"
Same for the intake.
but I could be wrong on this.
Others?

Intake would be installed during engine assembly; nipple on the assembly line along with hoses, belts, etc.
