Title: 1967 Camaro convertible RSSS with extra hole on dash
Post by: Rsweet68 on August 11, 2023, 01:11:56 AM
Hello,

I’m looking for some help with my 1967 RSSS convertible with the 350 and Powerglide transmission. There is an extra hole with the ignition switch and lighter on my dash. It has a raised lip as though it came from the factory this way. I have attached a picture and circled the hole in question.

Thanks,

Russ Seeet

Tis not factory. Quite possible a dealer item but most likely a manual choke…however we all know not everything.

Ditto on the manual choke. I had a 67 coupe with one in the same location.

Does you’re car came from europe ?
If yes, they installed extra headlights vehind the grille and an interruptor at this place.

Unless you planned to fill the hole I would suggest using the hole like Yenko did and mount a tach in that location.  But that's just me.

Yeah, a good suggestion. Possible location for added fog or driving lights as well.
