Title: Needed: Photos of GM 3913415 Throttle return spring 1967 L78
Post by: jbtech on December 22, 2022, 05:38:25 PM
I'm looking for photos of a real original gm return spring part 3913415 only (no repop photos please)

According to GM Parts and Accessories catalogs the spring is black, 4.24" long, and 40 coils

Update: I received a PM of an 06B survivor car with a green spring not black. I'm not sure if both colors were used. My build date is 04D

Thank you for your help,
Jose

Here is the July 1968 Parts catalog which shows 2 spring part numbers for 1967 Camaro 396 cars.
"First Jobs" being 3908782, 29 coils, and 4.40" in length, "After Jobs" being 3913415, 40 coils, and 4.24" long.

Does anyone know here what "First" and "After" means in this context?

Note this July catalog shows the 68 501 "green" spring as a NEW part. I don't think it's the right one for my 4th week April 1967 L78

Here is another parts and accessories catalog (Revised July 1969) shows the 1967 396 cars using the black 415 return spring and the 1968 396 cars using the green 501 return spring.
