Title: Crossram under std cowl hood
Post by: WaltZ on November 19, 2022, 04:32:09 PM
Just wondering if the cross ram will work with the std (round hole) cowl hood.
Or does anyone know of modifications that can be made the hood to accept the crossram.
Not too crazy about modifying an original cowl hood, but I will on my aftermarket one.
Any ideas or recommendations will be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Walt

I believe it will without issue.

These should help

Well, it will work with a flat hood, so I don't know why it wouldn't work with a cowl induction hood.

Ran one under an OEM cowl hood for 40 years. GM small base short element filter, fit just fine.

Walt, I had thought the same thing with my car being a flat hood car. I have a friend that has several originals that I am working on trying to get a complete setup. Attached are pics of a flat hood crossram car.

You should swap out the Z emblems for some 250.  ;)

Cowl plenum crossram under a flat hood.
