Date matters, auto vs man trans matters, speedo adapter probably matters. But the usage sometimes changes for unknown (to me) reasons.
Here's what I have for 69 (with a caveat for limited data):
CF (May & later) - V8 auto, Z28, BB auto & man
CT (pre May) - V8 auto, Z28, BB man
CV (pre May) - L6 & low-po auto
CW - L48/M20, BB auto & man
CX - L65 & L14 man
CY - L65 man
CH is a full-size code. And I've not seen a CX code on a Z, so I think that cable was changed.

Thanks Troy Abercrombie for submitting this info to me:
1967 Camaro SS 396 4 speed
Build date: 06E
Plant: NOR
Stamp Code: CA
Grommet Stamp: (TBD)
Engine: L35
Transmission: M20
Final Gear Ratio: (TBD)

Where is the cable stamped? Can I see it easily? Pretty sure mine is original.
-
Great info!
CW - L48/M20, BB auto & man (is what I need for my car)
But it would be good to know the original lengths. I am confused with the lengths the repros are available in.
Thanks!

Jdv69z, see post 5…might help.
-
There’s no one spot the cables are stamped. You will just have to look the cable over completely but I’d start at the trans and work towards the firewall.
-
Mine was about half way but the next car might not be....Joe
-
Mine is stamped right near the trans fitting
