Title: Caveat Emptor...ad is missing 'clone'
Post by: william on November 16, 2021, 08:59:56 PM
https://www.ebay.com/itm/284531591317

123679N696921

From the ad:

"This car is a X11 SS as denoted by the trim tag."

It was a 6-cylinder car as denoted by the VIN tag. Wasn't an SS the last time it was for sale.

"During the restoration, a rebuilt 396 engine was added."

Still has the standard production heater, crossmember, 10 bolt rear axle.

Only 1,707 6 cylinder converts produced. I would have left it as found.

I agree, but not everyone out there thinks the same way and they try to pass if off as something it wasn't.
