This subject has probably already been posted a few times although I didn't find anything in my search. What's the real story on 69's with factory front bench seats or is there such a thing? It is my understanding that the "bench seat" was not a factory option for the 69, (67&68 only, but no convertibles.) I've recently run across a 69 that appears to be an all original barn find, less than 100K miles, power top convertible, has a front bench with fold down center armrest, automatic on the column, deluxe houndstooth interior with a straight 6 engine. This is only the 2nd 69 I've ever heard of as having a front bench seat. Any and all info will be appreciated.

RPO AL4 Appears to be a 67/68 coupe only option.....Joe

Bench seat AL4 was not available in 69 in Camaro. It was a Firebird option.....

Post pics of the seat and close view of the seat material.

I haven't looked at the car in person. All I know about the car at this point is what you can see in the pics. Thanks.

Yup, someone made up the seats. It's been done before.
Houndstooth and a bench - neither were available in a 69 convertible.

Scroll down on the CRG site to 69 interior codes, all are listed. Check the trim tag and you’ll see what the car originally had assuming the trim tag is original.
