Went to look at a 69Z, sadly it did not have its original motor (it was off by a month)... the motor that was in it had a date of V0409DZ and i could read the vin but not too well... vin by the oil filter was 19N6347*8 OR 19N63478*
The vin does line up nicely with the pad date... casting is 3956618
Debating if I’m buying the car yet... just throwing this out there hopefully someone owns it!
*Kurt - updated VIN 124379N634785*

Welcome. If you do buy the car (or take another look) and can make out the partial, please update this thread with the full VIN and the current location. If the car does turn up, that will at least give a future starting point to try tracking the block again.

It’s definitely 19N63478_... i can post a pic and maybe someone can figure it out... I’ll probably end up with the car so I’ll look further later

Thanks! Casting date would be great info too

Email it to me if you want and I can post the pic.

Anchloken - Does the seller have any original documentation on this 1969 Z28 such as warranty repairs and maintenance records? I find it odd that you will see sellers show photos of broadcast sheets and trim plates of cars they have owned for years, but don't show any other documentation that you think someone would have collected and kept.
