Title: 67 327 Casting Date Location

Hi, I have a 327 with the casting date in what seems to be an unusual location. I can't find anything online or in the forums that shows a cast date in this location. There is no cast number in the usual location behind the distributor. The casting date code appears to be A 23 7 which seems about correct for this block.
 Assembly numbers are long gone as the engine is now at + 0.060 and has had deck machined. There is no square headed plug at the front of the engine.  The engine is in Australia and will shortly be installed in my 67 Camaro. Appreciate any assistance.

Not all that unusual in my opinion. Sometimes different locations were tried.

I'm wondering if there may have also been location differences between the SBC 3892657s and 3903352s.
