Title: Fender Marking
Post by: Riverbud on June 25, 2020, 09:18:13 PM
This was found on the inner left front fender just inside the wheel lip of a 69 Camaro.  Van Nuys car, early 69 build.  Seems to say "Lackawanna Plant" but I can't find any reference to anything of that sort. The car has a drag racing history and was repainted in the early 80's so if anything was replaced it was probably then.  Thanks!  Scott

That's the flat rolled steel source, Bethlehem Steel, Lackawanna plant.

Thanks, that makes sense.  My research found a Lackawanna Steel Plant, don't know why my thought process didn't go towards it being the source of the metal.  I appreciate the help.
