I have scoured the internet and these outer brackets on my 69 front bumper just aren't in any assembly diagram I've ever seen. Mine were missing when I bought it in 77. Finally decided to get the brackets and rubber washer, but does anyone know what bolt and fastener is used? I think the rubber washer and insert are over-sized to allow for adjustment because they are way bigger than the square hole in the bumper, that looks like it gets a standard chrome carriage bolt. I'm sure someone out there has messed with this before me?? All suggestions welcomed.

If you have the AIM book it'd described on UPC 14 A3 for chrome. VE3 A1 for special front bumper....Joe

Hey Joe, while I've got you....
I have that AIM manual but I have a heck of a time finding anything without paging thru the entire book. Any hints on how to use this thing? It seems so random. -John

After you flip through a few times you'll see how it works. The options are in the rear & the general assm is in the front. I have to flip it also from time to time. Had to this morning to find the chrome bumper (standard). I'm glad William posted a link for you....Joe

jherold,
Welcome to CRG!
A few hints on searching the 69 AIM:
Page 2 is the Index, general and options
Page 186 is an alphabetical options list
And if you download the AIM from "General Discussion, Downloadable AIMs and Some Service Manuals" you can search it. For example, searching Front Bumper got 7 hits, the one you needed was the 5th.
