Title: 1967 Badge datum line identification
Post by: Mike S on April 27, 2020, 01:18:17 AM

I'm helping a friend drill a fender for the 327 w/flags badge. In looking at the AIM below I see two datum lines #5 and #15. The #5 line is referenced from the center hole for the CAMARO badge, so that easy to locate. But the #15 line is of question. I can't see in the AIM page where it's referenced from to determine the base.

  Any help is surely appreciated!

Mike

READ THIS (http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=1745.msg10912#msg10912) from John. You'll need to find someone with a 327 car and original fenders to get the correct dimensions.

Thanks, Ed.  There are no original references to use.
Reading about the firewall being the 0 reference point, I remembered seeing something in the AIM. I found page UPC 11-13/B8 with the references. So, from studying the AIM, what I think may be a valid starting point is approximately 10.03" from the bottom of the fender just behind the wheel opening (15 - 4.07 = 10.03).

Thanks!
Mike
