Title: Suggestions for finding my ’67 Camaro
Post by: NanaW220 on September 22, 2019, 11:18:14 PM
I ordered a 1967 RS/SS but had to sell it in 1969. I'd like to see if it's
still around & possibly buy it for my grandson. I only have a 13 digit
Serial number (not a 17 digit VIN).  Search engines keep asking for
the 17 digit VIN.  Is there a site that accepts Serial #?  I welcome
your suggestions.  Thank you.

You can post the vin on this forum, and possibly a CRG member may have it in the database, or be able to tell you the last time they saw it surface.

Have you tried to just 'google' on the VIN you have?

Yes I've tried multiple web searches but all keep asking
for a 17 digit VIN.

I have the Factory/Serial # 124377N159962
which tells me it is a 1967 V8 Camaro built in Norton, Ohio

I bought and sold the car in Rockford, Illinois.
Hopefully a CRG member has seen the serial # or
in a database.

Sorry. It's not in the database.

I think the websites you are looking at are for later model cars. Most of them only work back to 78 I believe.
