This was spotted on one wheel & the trans crossmember of a 69 coupe. What do they mean? Thank you, Joe

Possibly the final assembly sequence number. Cars were not built in VIN order. Our '67 Z/28 had 258 written in black marker on the inside of the lower grille panel. An easy way to ensure the sub frame was assembled to the proper body.

Thank you William. That must be what the number is on the upper firewall of my car that I posted a week or so ago.....Joe

Sequence # or rotation #.
I believe Fisher used a different # than Chevrolet.
