Post by: BH69Z/28 on August 11, 2019, 01:55:12 PM
Could I please have an opinion on the authenticity of this stamp? I think I know the answer but would like to get an experienced opinion. Thank you, Brian

Sorry, file was too big to attach, it’s eBay item:

If it is indeed the same guy, he's been doing this for a while under several different ID's and addresses. Regardless of who he is, one giveaway: when's the last time you saw a pre-January '69 big or small block, particularly high performance, that lacked a visible VIN stamp on the front pad ? I know there are some, but this seller has cornered the market on blocks with no VIN on the pad. I realize the 0228 6618 block would not have one there (necessarily), but his 08 '68 386 block should (I don't recall his posts ever containing a stamped VIN). Suspiciously, identical block surface condition as well. Just sayin' - JMO.

Steve
