Title: Standard 3 speed Saginaw

Does anybody know what a standard Saginaw 3 speed floor mounted shifter factory back up switch looks like?....not the HD trans

Not sure, but if you are experiencing trouble I switched over to an aftermarket Hurst back up light switch.  It was easy to install and works well.  I have a Saginaw 4 speed, but believe the same part will work with any hurst shifter

The Saginaw 3 speed backup light switch is the same as Saginaw and Muncie 4 speeds for 67 and 68. The bracket that mounts the switch to the side cover is different than the  Muncie 4 speed. The 1/8" rod that hooks the switch to the 1st and reverse lever is unique to the 3 speed Saginaw floor shift. I hope this info helps, I am working from memory.
