Body tag has no rivets; maybe glued on. It has been off the car for some reason.

I believe you nailed it, Ed - wonder what lies behind door # 2 ?

The car is listed in Maryland - maybe they could get a look-see from Jerry - lol.

Is the tag real? Tag date and VIN line up.

I'm no expert, but I think they removed the tag, when reinstalling used some type of adhesive at the top and bottom and left the rivet holes open. It looks like it's not flush with the firewall and your seeing the holes for the firewall. Not another tag.

I agree. The edge thickness of the rear holes is larger so it looks like the firewall itself.

It looks welded on. Maybe the original was damaged and had another made and put it in top? Or trying to pull something.
