Title: 1968 Camaro Seat Lever?
Post by: curtis0916 on February 05, 2019, 04:50:47 PM
Is the circled round peg on the attached picture for a seat recline lever?  And whatever it is for, could someone guide me to the part that goes on the peg?

The seat back attaches to that. There's another one on the other side.

Thanks, the guy restoring my seats sent the picture asking me what goes on it, and that makes sense now.  Is there any type of trim or finishing piece that goes over it after the seat is installed?

Yes, THESE (https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1968/chevrolet/camaro/parts/7684910.html). You'll also need one of THESE (http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=11730.0;all) for the passenger seat. They're not being reproduced, but Steve may still have some if you need one.

And I'm not sure I'd trust a guy restoring seats that didn't know what those were!

Thanks, Ed.  I had the same thought as you about trusting him, but I'm hoping I just misunderstood his question.  When he said "what goes here" probably he meant "what trim piece goes here".
