Title: Black console gauges
Post by: Kelley W King on December 13, 2018, 03:58:02 PM
I was reading about a said original car that had black face gauges and said it was because of shortage or employee error. It is a Norwood car so I don,t think that black units would even be in the factory. It said sold new Jan. of 69. Any cars with original black units out there? They did look good with the black interior.

Nope. Black gauges were used on 68-74 Nova, which weren't assembled in Norwood or L.A. during this time period, so they wouldn't even have access to them. And that car wouldn't have even been scheduled to be built if the parts (the gauges in this case) weren't available.

More info in gauge colors HERE (http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=15224.msg136137#msg136137).
