So I just saw this today:
Jim Gilmore special ordered Hugger Orange 84 Corvette. Supposedly 1 of 2 cars in this special paint, and only 22k miles:https://www.ebay.com/itm/222851800596?rmvSB=true
(Gary this should be in your collection, right?) ;D

No Austin, with 5 Corvettes already... I have too many! :)
-
But this is HUGGGER ORAAAANGE!
I think you may have to sell 1 to get this one.
-
I have a '72 T-top coupe that needs paint (I've mechanically restored it already).. maybe Hugger Orange on that one? it came originally Steel Cities gray, but was repainted Mille Miglia Red many years ago.
... but Chevy did put Ontario Orange on '72 Corvettes... not sure how close it is to Hugger... :)

maybe you should sell me that 1960, thats the year I was born and always wanted one that year

Sounds like it's time to turn your garage into a museum, Gary?!?! 😎
-
It's going to be a museum if I don't get some cars finished! :) Today I worked across town with a friend putting a '59 Corvette body on a new 'corvette corrections' chassis.. Tomorrow he's supposed to assist me completing a couple of items on my '57 Nomad, so I'm always working on something, but it seems individual cars don't get finished.. Oh yeah, last week I spent getting the '70 Mach I from it's 33 yr hibernation, cleaned up a little (except for the snake), and moved into better storage.. Now I'm being distracted thinking about all the things I need to be doing to it! And I still have the '60 Corvette engine to finish and install as well as the DZ motor to renew the bearings/rings and reinstall it in the '69... (I need a few more things to do).. :)
-
and you thought you were retired......
-
Good for you Gary. By the sounds of it, all the right life choices were made early: solid marriage, solid career,,financial planning. I like what I do and will be retiring in eight years, just shy of 60. Gotta build that Ash Gold, ( or Sea Foam)68 "stocker"before I do,lol. Been dragging the heels with this Z too long, buttoning it up this winter.
-
...and I'm not trying to grease you for one of those tri-5 gassers your sitting on :D
-
No gassers at this address! :) I sold my Henry J after owning it 25 yrs to make a space for the '60 Corvette (and that was 20 yrs ago)... :)

to the OP can I add a few "Orange you glad you came see this thread" Cars?

Love to see more variety for wheels/wheel covers on finished cars. I love to see these hub caps. I got the same hub caps with my 66 Chevelle SS-396. Very cool looking for back then, I didn't know they were still around in 69 for a SS camaro.
