Title: Caveat Emptor...ad is missing 'recreation'.
Post by: william on December 30, 2016, 10:06:39 PM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-RS-SS-/232190088165?forcerrptr=true&hash=item360f9b93e5:g:0tQAAOSwnHZYWxFz&item=232190088165

Ad lists VIN [twice] as 123679N662819. That is a six cylinder VIN. Car cannot be an original SS as stated.

The VIN was the first thing I noticed, too. Lots of stuff wrong with this one.  Nice looking car, but it sure isn't what they want you to believe it is.

Typical "auction" car. It will show up at Mecum or BJ and sell for what he's asking.

Correct; then he will call Camaro High Performance to appraise the mutt.

Good one Bill! The transition (recreation) might be a well done car and cannot be duplicated for the current bid price but that vin just kills it and agree, call it what it is instead of "Like most Camaros on the market, it probably was not born as an RS/SS."
