Title: Multiple classic restored cars lost in White Bluff fire

So sad to lose these cars lost to a fire:

poor guys. Sounds like that 69 Impala was priceless to him. On the other hand If I knew the building that I kept my cars in was being worked on. I would either pull my cars, or be onsite . I guess thats why I do my own maintenance on my properties.
Just can't take chances with such prized possessions these days. Wish there were better pics of the cars. I remember Reggie jackson had a car collection in a building that burned all the way to the ground. It left nothing that could be saved.
( I tried to purchase a 66 427 block from the fire, and his manager screw up that transaction)
I bet Reggie made out alright though, I heard a while back he purchased a 69 ZL-1

Re Reggie:   From what I remember reading, Reggie wasn't doing so well financially *before* the fire..  but came out on the other end much better off..  :)  :)  :)   (He was tied in pretty tightly with the B-J folks at that time - He was also involved in another 'phony Camaro scam' around that time...)...

Well I got top dollar for some eBay parts that I sold him later on so I am ok with how it worked out. There were some good pics from that fire though

Hope the roofing company that started the fire was insured. I'm afraid I wouldn't be too happy with them. Another good reason not to smoke around flammable glue used to lay roofing materials -

Steve,  Where is White bluff?  I assume near Nashville, since one of the car owners worked/or works at Lane Museum..??

Gary,

West side of Nashville, along Hwy 70 just before Dickson, TN. About 30 minutes to Dickson from Nashville on I-40 - not a bad commute (except for horrendous traffic during rush hours).

I assume from the article that the roof caught fire from either a cigarette or a torch from the roofing workers. What a nightmare for the owner(s) - I don't want to even think about something similar happening to my small collection.

I totally agree Steve; fire is my number one worry re my car storage shops/garages (except perhaps during Tornadic weather).. :)     

I don't allow smoking in/around my garages, and I do any welding/heating only after clearing the area of items that support combustion (or do it outside)...
