Title: L48 Gear ratio w/ P-Glide
Post by: myblue67 on July 04, 2015, 06:59:52 PM
What was the most common ratio provided in an 295/350 with a 2 speed powerglide? Finally found the "shell" of a correct rear end  with radius rod bracket and panning rebuild. Based on exisitng code it was originally a 356, but somewhere along the line I heard a 331 was most common? Any data to support?

Thanks,

If "common" you mean "standard", per the Camaro Illustrated Facts Features and Specifications Manual, Jan. 1967
I'm assuming you are asking for 1967.
L48 w/Powerglide has the following ratios:
Standard: 3:07
Economy: 2:73
Performance: 3:31
Special: 3:55 & 3:73 (both w/o AC)

Thanks Mike. I'm not aware of the manual you reference, but would like to find it.

I had that since around 1980ish. I don't know if it is in print anymore.
