I've identified a broadcast code for one of the steering column assemblies listed in my original post:
TN 7803779 - '67-68 floor shift with tilt whee
Does anyone have their broadcast sheet and could help with some of the others?
Thanks,
Bobl

Sorry, but that's not correct.
TN is 67 floor shift *without* tilt. I don't think TN was used in 68.

That seems correct, Kurt. I checked my 67 4SP Muncie and the reddish color tag at the bottom of the standard steering column has 'TN' on it.
I'll check the 67 TH400 for a tag.

Heres the tag on the top of my steering column, 1969 floor shift automatic with tilt. Looks like KB 7808154

Kurts,
Same assembly number for both years (69 P&A), need to check earlier P&A. Only thing different is the 4 way flasher. Would that difference change the broadcast code?

I don't know, but in 68, floor shift non-tilt was CN, not TN.
-
Remember, service part assemblies are different than production part assemblies. :)

Yes. Agreed. My '68 floor shift non-tilt carries the CN code.

Are you saying that they are different physically or have different part numbers?

Would the part number be 7803777 ?

Camaocards,
Ran a quick check in P&A's and found the following:
Oct 66 TW with Floor Shift 5699843
July 67 TW with Floor Shift 5699843
Nov 67 TW with Floor Shift 5699843
Nov 67 68 TW with Floor Shift 7803779
But if you look in a 69 P&A it will list 7803779 as being used in 67 and 68 as a service replacement part due to the fact the correct part 5699843 was out of production and no longer in GM stock.
I always try to use a P&A that is closest to the build date when the part was used. You may want to check the 67 #'s in a 66 P&A.
Hope this helps.

Bob,
Many thanks! Good info.
Here is what I've found so far:
TN 7803779 - '67 Floor shift with tilt wheel (Although Kurt indicated this may be "without" tilt wheel)
CN 7803777 - '68 Floor shift w/o tilt wheel (Was the same broadcast code used in '67??)
TK 7804300 - '69 Floor shift w/o tilt wheel
KB 7808154 - '69 Floor shift with tilt wheel
Thanks for your help.

I believe 7803779 is a 68 Floor shift with tilt wheel. You will have to go to the 67 Nov. P&A to find this info but could be different in subsequent P&A's.

Nov. 69 P&A snows 7803779 is for 67 68 Floor shift with tilt. This is a service replacement for the original 67 5698443.

TN 7803779 - '67 Floor shift with tilt wheel (Although Kurt indicated this may be "without" tilt wheel)
I'm right. :) And Mike confirmed it with his car.
-
OK. Thanks Kurt. I'll go back to my source who told me he has the '67 broadcast sheet to indicate that the TN was floor shift with tilt (which also coincides with the '69 P&A that Bob reported). Maybe I could convince him to send me a scan of his sheet for verification. ;D

This is an old post but I just removed the floor shift tilt from my car & it's part number is 7808154 CB. CB is very clear. I can barely make out the part number. If I get a drop of water on it & I wear my 3.0+ glasses I can see it. Any thoughts to make that readable so I can take a picture? Maybe some of the wife's clear finger nail polish?
Thank you, Joe

I dabbed a little clear paint on the sticker to enhance & maybe protect it. Can't make heads or tails from date. Some unknown blue paint. Car is Yellow...Joe

CB makes more sense, since CA was auto tilt.
CB was the same for all three years, but I can't cross broadcast codes into part numbers.
TN 7803779 - 67 floor shift (non-tilt)
CB 67 & 68 floor shift with tilt wheel
CN 7803777 - 68 floor shift (non-tilt)
TK 7804300 - 69 floor shift (non-tilt)
TI 7808537 - 69 auto column shift (non-tilt)
CA 69 auto column shift with tilt
CB 7808154 - 68 & 69 floor shift with tilt wheel
-
I know this is a dead thread but just so info can be added, the part number for a TI code is 7808537
