Title: 67 suspension
Post by: Jek9016 on January 04, 2015, 03:14:00 PM
I restored a base 67 that started life as a 6 cyl, now has 350 4 spd.  Complete rebuild with new suspension & control arms in front and original SB springs with monoleafs in the rear.  All new bushings etc.  It sits about 1.5 in too high for my taste with original 14 in Rally Wheels.  Anyone had had luck with a 1in lower block setup in rear?  Not sure about the front springs.  I was reviewing old photos of new 67 on the CRG site.  It appears the car did sit rather high when original, more so than the 68 or 69.

Did you tighten the rear spring mounts with car on ground or axle hanging?

Come to think of it, we probably tightened everything while the car was on the lift during installation.
