General Discussion / Re: Real 1969 z28 ? X33
« on: November 02, 2019, 02:19:32 AM »
I know you can buy new cowl tags including the correct pop rivets.  Did you clean the area that looks brighter orange?  If you like the car and the car is something you can afford then buy it and enjoy it.  Maybe its not totally original but something that you will enjoy driving and going to cruise night and car shows. Test drive it and look it over close.  How are the floor and trunk pans, how is the wiring, does it steer good or does it wonder.  Plan on spending more than the purchase price to make it your car. If you want to verify all the casting numbers foer all of the parts they are available on this website.

General Discussion / Re: Pony Car/Musclecar market going away?

Just my luck. It's like the stock market buy high and sell low!  I just purchase a 1969 Z28 X33 trim code all original painted in tuxedo black.  I attended the 2020 Corvette unveiling in Atlantic city and would like to sell my Z28 now that I saw the new corvette.  I'll probably won't even break even if I sell it.

I have a 1969 Z28 that has a similar mark, but mine has X3.  I suspected it was my trim code.

Is that a power convertible top switch next to the wiper switch?

Rear window defogger switch?  Ad says it has that option.
I ordered a Z28 back then and I did get the rear defogger.  It was like a hair dryer. It just blew air on the back window.

I have seen a similar car advertised for sale within the last 2 weeks.  It may have been on Autotrader Classics, Hemmings, or maybe eBay.  Good luck finding the car.
