Does anyone know if the 68 camaro and pontiac am/fm radios differ visually in any way ?

Yes, the lens on the Camaro is slightly tinted (kind of a light blue) and the Firebird is clear, and the background (behind the red needle) is a little darker in the Camaro than the Firebird. Probably because of the tint in the Camaro lens.

However, very few people would be able to tell the difference just looking at it.

67 Firebird (a little different radio than the 68 version, but the colors are the same)

A '67 unit does not have FM AM on the lens as the '68; the tint is different as stated. Be sure the mounting brackets [next to the knobs] have not been cut off for some other car. Corvair radios look similar but do not interchange.

If the unit does not work or it cannot be verified, beware. Getting expensive to fix.
