Title: Black 1968 RS Z/28 on ebay - cowl tag numbers vs VIN?

I know this car is not restored to it's correct colors but do the VIN number and cowl line up correctly? It lists the VIn as    124378N370375 and the NOR body number as 16841. By my calculation this VIN should be somewhere in January 1968 but the cowl tag has 09E. Am I missing something?

No, you're not missing anything. That Trim Tag doesn't belong on that car.

I guess those that bid it up to $36k must not know that. Of course, the reserve is not met. He is claiming it as a real RS Z/28 non matching numbers...
