General Discussion / Feemster Chevrolet - Siloam Springs, AR

Anyone know anything about Feemster Chevrolet in Siloam Springs Arkansas?


That is were my NCRS report leads me.

I googled the name and came up with the owner of the dealership, but he is deceased now.

Second, question.  It looks like Arkansas DMV won't release old vehicle records.  Anyone have any insight into this?

Engine on ebay.  Posting reads:1968 396 Big Block Chevy Camaro L-35 325 HP 2 Bolt MW Block 3916323

This is a really nice 396 325 HP 2 bolt block for a MW code Camaro. It has been stripped and baked clean. Mag for cracks and checked bore. Bore right now is 4.155 which is .030 but will have to go to 4.185 which is .060 to clean up perfect.

MW= 1968 Camaro L-35 396 325 HP with manual transmission..

General Discussion / 68 Camaro on craigslist

I thought someone may be interested in this car.  It's not mine and I do not know the owner, but it appears to be fairly original and possibly numbers matching.  It for sale on the Oklahoma City Craigslist.

Description:
68 Camaro
Approx 134,000 original miles.
Motor was pulled a few years ago and has sat ever since. I have original motor (327) and transmission available. I have a new motor on engine stand (350) with lots of extras. Eldebrock intake, uni-lite distributor, timing gears, low end cam with lots of lift. Also have a 400 model transmission available it is a 3 speed. The original transmission is a 2 speed (power glide). This car needs rebuilt, will need tires just to get it out of the yard. Very little rust on this car, must see to appreciate. It was our family car, I was the 3rd owner and was in the family previously. Time to part ways don't want it to turn into a rust bucket

Description:
Here is a used Muncie 4 speed main case . This one came out of a 69 Camaro based on the VIN stamped in it 19N506493 . Stamped P9119  .Case # 3925660 . The cluster gear inside it is rusty & the inside of the case is filled with dirt & rust. I tried to knock the pin out to get the cluster gear out to lighten it up for shipping & it seemed pretty tight so I left it alone . The bearings inside probably got rusted as well. The front hole has been staked as you can see . I do not see any cracks or repairs , Please see pic . sold as is.

"1969 396 4 bolt L89 block casting number 3955272 dated J-7-8 with front pad stamped T1014JJ 19N532943. This is a camaro aluminum headed motor and is 1 of 311 built. The block is standard bore and will need line honed and a chip fixed off of the back of the block behind the oil filter $3500.
Can ship these blocks if you cannot pick them up and have other parts as well.

Originality / Temp sending unit plug

During the 1968 model year production, the themperature sending unit boss was plugged on a Z28 intake.   Does anyone know what the steel square drive plug looked like on a 3917610 Z28 intake?  Was it a female or male plug?  I have seen it both ways.  Does it depend on Los vs Nor build, or early vs late production?
