My 68 convertible has the Z21 trim, which means I have the door ledge & quarter panel reveal moldings (the wide stainless moldings at the top of the door and quarters). The convertible well moldings fit into the quarter reveal moldings. I am looking into the possibility of replacing my well moldings. I have been told that the normal (non-Z21) well moldings can be used with the reveal moldings by cutting off the ends where they fit into the quarter moldings.
Can anyone confirm this?

when i bought my 67 convertible ( 22 Years ago) i was stupified by this part.
( it was not easy in FRANCE to see some other camaros and there's no internet like today)
finally i understand last year during restauration that my 67 wear a 68 Z21 molding.
when i compare the both, i just notice that the 68 was shorter and without the "corners".
so i will agree with "just cutting off"
