Title: Kelsey Tire
Post by: Jerry@CHP on October 12, 2023, 06:35:14 PM
I received a call yesterday from Kelsey Tire.  I was told that John Kelsey passed away last month.  Ann, his daughter reached out to me about an hour ago.  John and I worked together on many projects and was one of the best in the restoration market.  John took on a project for me making the 7.35 x 15" redline Power Cushions for the '67 Z28 several years ago.

Ann also told me that the company will continue on.  She had been working with her dad over the past two-three years.  So, the good news is Kelsey Tire will continue on.  RIP John Kelsey, you were such an asset to the vintage car hobby.

Sorry to hear.   I met John at SEMA some years ago and always enjoyed conversing with him. Great wealth of knowledge about Goodyear tires. Bought both sets of tires for the Z and Chevelle directly from him at the show.   Good to hear his daughter will continue the business.

TY for sharing... never met John but we have lost too many in our hobby that made a difference.
Good to read daughter to continue in her fathers footsteps.

It is sad to hear this. As we all are getting older, so are the true pioneers who are the foundation of many of our interest/hobbies/jobs. We are loosing so much when they pass on. Knowledge forgotten. Glad to hear the daughter is willing to take over. Prayers to the Kelsey family.
