Title: no fuel to carburettor
Post by: Nigel on June 09, 2019, 05:40:45 PM
I would be grateful for any advice please. I have a 1968 Camaro RS/SS with Rochester quadrajet. I have been away for 4 weeks and when I tried to start the car today it will not fire into life. The problem appears to be fuel related. There is no smell of fuel in the engine bay despite trying to start the car with my foot on the accelerator. The fuel lines were all replaced 1 year ago so I do not think that is the problem The engine is turning over fine and the battery has full charge.

Any advice gratefully received,

Many thanks, Nigel

Try a little gas or stating fluid down the carb and see if it will fire.

Yeah I would prime the carb with fuel, then if she fires and then stalls you might have a fuel pump issue or clogged fuel filter. And not to state the obvious but there is gas in the tank right? Been there done that before. :)
