How many different hurst shifters were used on 69 Camaros?
Flat, round with and without HURST stamped into the shaft.
My early 69 pre x code has a round shaft no stamp
Thanks

"1968 and earlier shifters had 4 or 5 character codes...
Would it not be better and be more accurate to say, "Early Production 69s"? or "Shifters made prior to Oct. 68"? My .02

My early 69 Z has round shaft w/Hurst on it. Thought they were all like that.

My 12D 69 also has a round shaft with "hurst"

Thank You All for the information,
Would the round shaft without "HURST" stamped in it be some unknown aftermarket piece?
Also is the shifter box or body the same for BB and SB Hurst applications, and interchangeable to the different mounting plates ?
Thanks Again for all your input!

What about shift ball thread size. Mine was 5/16-18. I was told they were all 3/8. What gives?

5/16 is for a 68
3/8 is for a 69
