Anybody ever hear of a '69 "Denver Hugger Special" Camaro? Seller states Denver Hugger Specials were built to compete with the California Special Mustangs. Is this for real? ???
Check it out:

Sounds like ebay hype to me.

It's real, but we don't know what dealers sold them. It's also being discussed on the Team Camaro site.

Wow! Thanks, Ed. I learned something new about Camaros today! ;D
but we don't know what dealers sold them.
As far as dealers that sold them, there's a link in the Team Camaro thread you reference to a '69 Z/28 that was sold last year. The seller states the car has the original dealer invoice from 1969. That might be a start to finding the dealers who sold them if you (or someone?) contacts the seller (top_self_reps) or the buyer (zmachz). :)

Checked out the 69 Z in the baby blue paint scheme. Isn't that the car is that is pictured in one of the books by John Hooper, Maybe "Camaro Reference Book A-Z"?

Is that the colour of the Denver Hugger Speciala also?

That is the crossram powder blue Lyle Mader z/28 that was bought new in South Dakota. Lyle Mader bought it new and the POP had him in Madison, SD. I doubt it has anything to do with the Denver Hugger story.
It was also previously talked about on camaros.net in 2005 when it supposedly sold for $150,000 which was unthinkable at the time.

It is also on ebay:

This car is very well known and has been talked about. Not a "Denver Hugger" car.

Thank goodness GM stopped the rear stripes at the deck lid/spoiler! Continuing the stripes onto the rear body panel is too "busy" looking for my taste. :P

No sale on 8-19-07.
Reserve not met: ?

It sold for around $150K 2 years ago, so I doubt it would go for less now. Thats still the upper end of 69z's at $110K. Wow

It's not the Z/28 pictured above that's for sale. It's this car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160146743627&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006

Checked out the baby blue crossram Z/28 on e bay. Shouldn't a 150K++ car have a brake booster and master cylinder cover that are gold dichromate, not silver?

Okay they both were for sale at the same time. Sorry for the confusion.
