Title: An Intake Manifold for big block that never been listed!
Post by: alex68rs on February 07, 2010, 04:24:45 PM
Hi guys
A friend of mine have and old intake manifold made in '67 (june 24) In all books and references, the casting number never appears on their list. Nobody know about that intake. The casting number is 3919851. In the books, it have #850 and 852 but no 851. If you look at the old intake and a new one from a 502bbc, it is the same intake except the wall between the two plane on the 502 goes to the top and on the old stops about 3/4 to 1 inche high! The wall on the old intake have not been cut after the casting. the wall is cast like that.

Many poeple told me that it is a prototype from GM used on race cars. If you can find something about that it would be very appreciated

Thanks at advance!

I just googled:  3919851 & manifold
Got about 45 hits. At a glance it appears to be a L88 corvette item.

Quote from JohnZ...

"The 3919851 intake was never used on a production L-88; although it may have some intrinsic value due only to its rarity, never having a production application eliminates any premium value to a restorer."
