Decoding/Numbers / Trim tag
« on: January 22, 2013, 07:42:24 PM »
A friend of mine has a documented 67 Z  survivor that was just at  the Russo Steel auction. The Trim  tag was interesting. It was an LA car and only had 4L . It didn't  even  have 2L for the 4 speed.  No question the car is real. There were no other options on the tag so do you think that is why they didn't include the 2L in group 2. Are there any other 4spd cars with no options like this in the reg?

General Discussion / 67 8 track under dash parts
« on: October 22, 2012, 12:46:47 PM »
I've been restoring my brothers 67 396 car and it has the under dash 8 track. I have a pic of an orig  low milage 67  with the under dash 8 track. It has the filler panel between the ash tray and tape player. Looks like I'm going to have to make one if I can't find it somewhere. The orig pic I have of it has a camaro emblem on it. Is that correct or did some one put the emblem on it. Thanks Kerry

Decoding/Numbers / ID this curve neck rad.
« on: April 05, 2012, 05:37:12 PM »
I picked up this rad at the Phillie muscle car parts auction earlier this week. The bars and brackets are like a  camaro bb rad. so  they can be used to build a camaro rad. I would like to know what it really is before I cut it up. The left tank is curved neck and is coded LG . The right tank is coded AF and its a 3 core rad. Thanks  Kerry

I'm doing my brothers 67 396 325 camaro We bought the car about 6 years ago.  Originally it was a royal plum with parchment 4spd. I found a ticket under the dash  that a previous owner had got in the car  in tacoma wa.. His # was on the ticket so I called him up He had bought the car around 77 and it was green. He owned it until the late 80s or so and lost it to the irs. It had a small block in it when he bought it in 77 and never  knew it was a big block car. So I'm thinking the car may have came from that area when new. Looks like at some point it had side pipes on it . There are some holes on both rockers where something was bolted at some time. It was also painted purple ( like chrysler plum crazy )  at some point before  it was painted green.   There was also a  green sticker in the w/s that said something about Everett Wa.  Hope some of this rings a bell Thanks Kerry

Originality / 67 mountain green code H formula
« on: August 26, 2011, 08:14:01 PM »
I'm restoring  a 67 camaro with the original color mountain green. I was wondering if any one has already made up a formula in PPG DBC  that they think is a really good match to the orig. color. I've  already started playing with the color but we're not there yet.  PPG doesn't have a formula for mountain green in DBC so it has to be made up. My customer already has an orig paint mountain green car so I'm willing to spend the time to get it right so it looks like his other car, Thanks Kerry

General Discussion / 67-68 bumper guards
« on: April 01, 2010, 09:37:31 PM »
Does any one have information on 67 68 bumper guards that don't have the rubber strip. They are solid on the face.  Were these early in the year or just a different vender making them.
