Title: 68 Z Paint Code
Post by: jrm3 on October 08, 2013, 05:43:55 PM
I am restoring an original 68 Z which has a paint code of (P) for Sea Frost Green.  Does anyone know what that converts to in PPG.  The PPG paint store states that the paint code is pp however the color looks silver.  I did confirm on CRG's website that the paint code is p.  So any advice as to what the code should be in a PPG color?  Please advise,  Tre'

Darrell,

Thanks for the pictures of your car.  So is the paint on your car this PPG  (pp) 43774 that's referenced on this PPG paint chart?

Troy dug up the mix formula for you.
It's in Dupont Chroma-base, for 3+ qts, no breakdown for anything smaller. It is a dead match to the original paint that was on his car.

Part#  then amount of each mix tint is beside it.
