Any chance you would provide info and photos on the car?  Is it a 01A build car?  Does it have its original drivetrain?  You can email me believe if you have issues with uploading photos on the site.

124379N570274 isn't in the database.

There is a thread on Camaros.net showing trim tag and VIN rivets from about 10 years ago.

Definitely a repo tag at that time and might as well add the other photo.

Tell us about the current state of the car.

That trim tag isn't even one of the newer ones that look close to original.   Really bad fake tag from Trimtags.com, probably before 2000.

I really feel bad for the OP if that car was represented as being legit.

This car back on the market for sale for $105K. I looked this one over myself at Mecum and have some other pics. VIN: 124379N570274.

https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/d/cumming-1969-z28-rs-camaro-black-white/7629889975.html

It had a lot of red flags in person. I just hate to see anything questionable on the market not disclosed. Hurts everyone..

That's a completely different car than the subject.

Please, someone correct me if I am wrong.   It looks like the tag was swapped AGAIN!!!
The tag in the CL ad looks to be a more recent fake; looks better than the one posted above.

Are my eyes deceiving me?

It looks like the same tag just cleaned the stamping.  I did something similar when I was a teenager on my old 69.  This car still has a repo (same) tag.  Also looks like they filled the rivet holes.

The "6" in "69" looks different.

No, you're right. They're two different tags. Observe the 01A below

Another comparison.  I'm sticking to my previous statement that they look the same to me.  I'm almost willing to be the tag was hit with some type of abrasive.

I agree it has been hit with an abrasive.   No doubt about it.
The 6 looks different.
The first 1 in 10 10 looks different in relation to the 3 above it.
The 4 in the body number looks different in relation to the B in BDY.

Could just be a different camera or different camera angle.

I still say it is two different tags.  So, on that we have to agree to disagree.   What is sad is the the seller knows it has a swapped tag.   The car is being misrepresented as being genuine.

The "6" in "69" looks different.

Yes agree  and the "9" is also clearly different.  Look at the 8pm position of the one 9, the flat spot.

haha what a mess.  body "BY" fisher.   The bottom of the Y align in different areas of the N below it on both.   I really hate that this many camaros are faked.
The numbers under BODY aren't even close in one to the next.

My 2 cent two different tags. Black on white sure is sharp though.

In my novice opinion, there's way too many differences in the letters and numbers for those two to be the same tag.
