Is a 4 Bolt Main Brass Oil Line Fitting bought from Weatherhead really worth $80 a piece.
Is this even the correct factory line manufacturer?

Modern version might have a different logo, so the Vintage Logo will be worth 79.88
I am just joking, I think they the parts are neat, but,,,,,,,,,,,,

What they're worth is what folk are prepared to pay. Intrinsic value, not much, but for a correct restoration, will get buyers at the asking price.
-
If you want your car 100% correct they are worth the $80 the seller is asking as original ones are impossible to find,

So much horse cookies. Will an NCRS judge look for the Weatherhead logo on that fitting ? Kinda like the guys selling chrome air cleaner wingnuts for $165.00. Useless - and just my opinion -

Steve

They are overpriced for 99.99% of people. But for those that really need one? Who knows...

I have seen the 1/4 x 20 air cleaner pan bolts for BB tripower for $250.00 per pair.

Just found this topic and question 1st gen BB bushing being made of brass. The bushing in question should be 3/4"NPT x 1/2"NPT not 3/4"NPT x 3/8"NPT.

The Link the Orig Poster was for "Rich" whom I bought hardware in only a couple instances (Not Here on DOT-.org) and it does get interesting on the pricing of stuff in this hobby, I like this site C-R-G and the cooperation and sharing of information, originality, replacement and various facets relating to our (Restorations and Originality) passions.

I believe the 1st Gen bushings are steel not brass.
