I just received the shipping data on my '67 RS/SS from NCRS. The shipping data confirms what I had been told by previous owners that the car was originally owned by the El Paso Zone Office. I confirmed same with the family of the zone director who had it as his company car and then bought it for his wife. The original delivery dealer code is 0 in zone 39. The name and address for the dealer is El Paso Zone Office El Paso, Tx. Would the original window sticker list the Zone Office at the top versus a local El Paso dealer...in this case Courtesy Chevrolet? Any info on Zone Office delivered cars would be much appreciated . Thank you.

Not sure if you were wanting to leave this in the test section or not but if you are wanting help with the question it might be better to repost it in the general discussion section. Just trying to help. Take care, Darrell

I went ahead and moved it over to the General Discussion area. So it gets seen more.

Sounds like one of Mike Rossi's old cars.

It is indeed one of the two Bolero red cars Mike owned. He has been a source of great information over the last couple of years. Great guy/great car.

Yes it would show the zones address on the top of the shipper copy and the window sticker, then when it was sold the Zone office would annotate on the shipper copy and window sticker what the purpose of the car was, and a date when it was placed in service after it had served its original purpose . Then there was a signature line for the Zone Manager to sign. I've got one shipper copy from a 69 Pacecar originally delivered to the indianapolis Zoine office for Courtesy Service with USAC and it was then placed in service on 6/19/69. It also has a note on it about Shipping it to Baker Chevrolet typed in on the bottom. I can only assume that is the dealer who sold it in June.

I just recd info from the NCRS that states my car ship date was 04-24-1969. It gave me the zone and the dealer number. It was sold in San Francisco By A chevy dealer called David Varner Chevrolet.
Was it worth the 50.00 to get this info????? I guess for the amount of money that we all spend on these classics its a small price to pay for documentation.
