Not sure if that is sarcasm or not..  So no one has ever seen this before?

My intentions were not to offend anyone. I was commenting on the condition of your sticker & how well it is preserved.  :)

No worries..  I just didnt want to assume anything.

Darrell, we have two more questions for you.

1. Can you get us a higher resolution picture of the tire sticker? (email it to me if it won't post to the site)
2. Does the car still have the original speedometer cable? If so, what's the overall length and the two letter code stamped on it?

Thanks

Ed

Email sent.

What's the trans codes and the axle code?

I will have to stop and look this weekend.  I do not remember off the top of my head.

Is there a plug where the NON-MUNCIE hole is?

Also, can you post a picture of the tire pressure decal on the inside of the glove box?

Ed

I do not know if there was a plug in the other hole.  Here is the pic of the tire sticker.

That is correct.  Thanks Chick.  Yes this car is overall strange.  Cowl plenum air cleaner, deluxe interior but no tach & gauges or a console and manual steer..

The engine is long gone but I have known about this car since I was old enough to understand cars and my father knew of it since '75.  This car has been apart and stationary since '81-'82.  I have no doubts the car is in fact a real deal Z.

I have learned to never say never.  My 68 Z does not have the hole drilled in the firewall.  I am just curious if this is just a goof on the assy line or if there were more early 68 or 67s that this has been seen on in the past.  I am actually on my iPhone or I would post a pic.

I was going to ask this in Chick's thread but I didnt want to change the subject.  Does anyone know of any LOS cars that came with a Muncie but did not have the "Muncie hole" in the  firewall?

General Discussion / Re: Official CRG Cap?

Count me in as well for a shirt and possibly for a hat.

How about instead of three pictures on the back,  just simply:

RS           SS           Z/28

Done like each of the emblems possibly?

Just an idea....

I like that idea with the emblems.

Site Comments/Discussion / Re: Whos Green 69 is on the CRG front page?

Yep those are both my photos (68 & 69).   Both cars are Rally Green.  The 69 was originally Frost Green but I painted it in 1990 Rally Green cause I was young and didnt like the Frost color.  Regret it now...  But anyways.  Thanks for the comments.  The wheel set up is just your average American Racing Torque Thrust D's 15x8 with Firestone Firehawk SZ50 tires 225 50 R15 if I remember correctly (which they do not make anymore).

Anyone know what size the center link is?  That would also help clue in potentially what the are was..

Interesting that car was built a week after mine.  Would there have been almost 200 cars built in a weeks time around Christmas & New Years?
