Title: GM Source Document Identification ?
Post by: PHAT69AMX on October 27, 2018, 08:48:51 PM
? Anyone able to identify the GM SOURCE DOCUMENT of this page-15 ?
? And the DATE that GM Source Document was issued / printed ?

This Page-15 image is the 1st of a 10-page group from Page-15 thru 24.
All 10 pages are about 1st Gen Z-28, but have only these 10 pages.
So am unable to determine the Source Document and the Date...

Hoping some one can identify the Source Document and Date issued.

Very much doubt the source was GM, as there are some inaccuracies.
Whereabouts did you come across it, for starters?

It's not a GM document.

Ah, ok, it is from the GM Heritage Center Web Site for the 1968 Camaro, it is part of a 132 page PDF file there all for the 1968 Camaro that can be downloaded.  It is a compilation of documents and pages from various sources.  There is a blank separator page between each different "page group".  That Page 15 thru 24 Group is Page 63 thru 72 in the 132 page 1968 Camaro PDF Document...

When I bought my Camaro many years (before CRG) ago I was looking for information and called GM Owner Relations Dept.
They offered to send me an information package on my new (to me) 1968 Camaro. A big thick package arrived and I was so excited that I was getting the history of my special car. Then I open the package and realized it was just a bunch of poorly photo copied crap. A lot of it not even GM original. Just photo copies of a sales brochure, AMA specs, and white book data.

Funny thing is it is exactly the same today, only you can download it from GM. Any one want to see a photo copy of a photo copy of a color brochure in black and and white with 3-ring binder holes punched in it? Here you go, thanks GM:

No idea why they include non-GM material in the packages. It infringes on copyright....

The sales brochure is pure crap. They own that, why not use a nice color version?
