Kevin- Here's your POP (could not find RPO U15- Speed Warning Device). I don't think I have ever seen a closer car and engine build date; Car-10D, Engine-10/25.Marty, just figured it out and posted some pics on L 48 WDOAL. Thanks for you help.
Your "Guards, door-edge" is RPO B93
BTW, If you get some time and figure out this posting pics thing, would you mind posting your L48 on this thread? http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=8314.0. This link might help you with posting pics; http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=7215.0. Or, this one; http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=4896.0
Ed,QuoteI found a tag on the drivers side of the transmission on one of the side plate bolts that looks like an old rear-end tag. 3870357
I can't seem to find any reference to this tag #. Can someone help identify? Thanks
3870357 is the final assembly part number for the M20 transmission used on the 1967 L48 and L35 engines.QuoteCan someone help explain the second # 4 on the POP. I thought this stood for heater delete.
C48 is indicated as position e, number 4 in the POP DECODE SECTION. Your POP shows position c and f (both number 4), so you have U63/U80 (Am radio with rear speaker) and B93 (door edge guards).
Your car's too early for the radius rod. More info HERE.

One other option that was identified earlier is the radius rod for the rear axle. This rear end doesn't show signs of a bracket every being welded to the drivers side of axle. ?Thanks

Ya, the carb # is a 7037203 k6 DY Rochester.something doesn't add up - correct me if I'm wrong
a 350/ 295 would have a 4BBL carb - but POP indicates a 2BBL
Marty just made a typo. It should be a R instead of a B for the carburetor code as Kevin has noted in reply #5 above. R would make it a Quadra-Jet.

Here is the #'s on the case: 3885010 3088336 3857584 tail housing. Is there any way other than pulling the cover on the trans. to determine if this is a M20 or M21? Everything I see has not indicated that this is not a M21.
Follow the RPO on the left hand column until you see M21 and check the requirements (off to the right). There is no way a M21 would have come from the factory in a L48. If it did it would show up here; http://www.camaros.org/pdf/options.pdf
Do you have any numbers off the side of the trans? This should tell us exactly what you have. You can find the "Maincase Casting Numbers" here; http://www.camaros.org/trans.shtml#4speed
Kevin - So far everything checks out. The pad looks great, including the cowl. See if you can get me a straight on shot of your POP and I'll brake it down for you as well. A pic of the partial vin on the tran would be nice also.Marty,

No idea why CBTN's has that 'close ratio' note for that axle. It's incorrect.Note for reference: CBTN's 1965-69 with red 68 396 conv. on cover page 309 under 1967 camaro rear axle codes
