Hello all,
I have a 1969 Z28 9N6529XX The car is an 05E car but the motor has a casting date of E129 and is stamped V0529. I can only see 9N by the oil filter. The Heads are E19 and C29, The water pump is D309, The front cover is 5 69, Distributor 9D2, intake 5 9 69. Does this seem too late for the car?

Rear axle date is BU 5 20 if that helps any

I don't think so.

The car was finished about 6/6, so possible.

Thank you both for your responses. I see one says no and the other says possible? The reason I ask is, the only part of the VIN imprinted by the oil filter is 19N and it is VERY faint to see. I have tried chalk, then yellow wax marker and finally a magnified glass(best result) neither help in seeing any other numbers. I have spent hours doing searches for 1969 DZ motors including VIN, Casting date and deck stamp and It appears most engines around my VIN(within 1,000 cars) were Casting dates of E29 to E139 and stamped V0516 to V0519 so I was wondering how this could possible when the Block casting falls in the E139 range, but the deck stamp falls 10 days later than my research. All the other components seem to fall in line although all over the board.
I appreciate your input and In hopes I could ensure this is correct, as it would be an awfully big coincidence.
Thank you

I think the first reply of "I dont think so" might have been for your original question of "Does this seem too late for the car?".

Thank you. Sometimes I keep pushing for data because I want to ensure I am putting money in the right car :-)
Thanks for your input as well. I appreciate how everyone on here shares the knowledge they have, it is great!!
