I got this battery from Autozone and put a topper on it for my 06A 69. Fits perfect. I put some velcro under the topper to hold it on place. The flip up handle on the battery is a nice feature when taking battery out for the winter nap.

Looking at VIN it shows an 8 cylinder car so yes that is prob the VIN. If the tags are true Z tags it would have to be a coupe unless it was Pete Estes car  :)

That pad is assembly date 11/05/68?  Generally, VINs were started to be stamped on the oil filter boss around mid December of 68. More than likely, the VIN should be on the pad on this motor right?

General Discussion / Re: 1967 Camaro Special Paint
« on: February 08, 2024, 12:30:45 PM »
As I understand it, the paint 0-0 code is for a Camaro that a customer ordered with a color that wasn't available on the Camaro color choice for that particular year. Usually that occurred through a special connection to the central office. So if a customer ordered a color; say one that was only available to a corvette, the TT would get the 0-0. Is this the general concept behind the 0-0 TT?

Looks legit to me. Let experts weigh in. BU code in paperwork is incorrectly stated as 4.10 rather than 3.73. Might not be original trans.

Nut, no argument here, but hearing “non ORM trim tag” could mean it’s a reproduction or from another car. JMHO
